Regarding the latest election—I know I’m a little behind on this, as far as the blogosphere goes, but I’d just like to reiterate what I and the rest of the country are thinking, and sum up how it feels:
Fuck. Yes.
I’ve been listening a lot lately to Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” (the Otis Redding version is pretty great, too) and can’t help but think, “Well, Sam, you weren’t alive to see it, but you were right, and it has.” To borrow from Craig Finn, it’s a pretty good feeling, yeah, it feels pretty good.
Can he make it? Yes, he can.
